so a friend of mine died in a cycling accident about a week and a half ago. on wed. we had a memorial celebration for him on the island which was great. you can read about the whole thing on my other journal link is my website...

i posted the following there as well, but i think it is worthy of being posted also.

i found this little blurb and some pics from the http://respect.to

Memorial: May 19 Submitted on: 2004-05-20
On May 19th, over 100 cyclists rode to the intersection of Dundas St. W. Service Road and Dupont St. to pay their respects to a fellow cyclist who died there a week before.

Cyclists lay their bikes down in the middle of this busy intersection and held a couple of minutes of silence. Two of his friends then spoke about the loving and talented man that was lost. Flowers were left and the ride continued on to Ward's Island where a ceremony and celebration of the cyclist's life, organized by his family and friends, was held.

my new favourite past time for the past week or so since i've been off for the summer, is packing boxes. it's great fun, and brings much joy to my life.

i recently made a trip to see my good friend/piercer who hooked me up with some sweet 6 ga gromets. my ears were at 12 and i really only wanted to jump two to go to 8 but alas, they didn't have the gromets i wanted. so i attempted 6 and was okay....

not much to say, not much going on... taking it easy and keeping it low.

really, in the end you've got a look at both sides. you can't read minds, you can't read people like you read a book. it's too subjective. it's too personal. and so when it all comes down to it, you've gotta do what you've gotta do. hell if you want to do something go out and do it...do what it is you want. and do it now...

aren't i feeling philosophical today.

things always tend to workout for themselves in the end.

take away the games and i am left (in)sane and it's all good

and that's all gone away
